MAIN FOUNDATION CONCRETE POUR COMPLETED - Week of August 18, 2008

On August 21, 2008, the main foundation pour was conducted. Contractor Patrick & Henderson's QA inspector from Oklahoma inspected the maze of steel reenforcing bar to allow the concrete pour to commence. Over 80 cubic feet of 6500 psi concrete was poured using a concrete pump and a special vibrator that ensured the concrete was spread evenly thoughout the steel bar maze. The pour took the better part of the day to complete.

The foundation construction is on schedule as planned to minimize disruption of school activities when the school year starts. The contractor has arranged to install a temporary transformer to restore power to the tennis court lights while waiting for the main tansformer to arrive.

The cooperation between the contractor (AAER), the subcontractors and the Town has been exceptional. As in all projects, things have not gone exactly as planned. But, when situations arised, all the parties involved were able to get together and solve the problems quickly. Constructing the rbar maze. (6 pictures)
